TrakCel CTO to present at International Serum Industry Association AGM
CARDIFF, WALES, UK April 17 2015 – TrakCel CTO, Jon Curley, has been invited to present at the International Serum Industry Association (ISIA) AGM in San Antonio, Texas in May 2015. The ISIA's focus is on safety and the safe use of serum and animal derived products through proper origin, traceability, truth in labelling and appropriate standardization and oversight. Serum products are used extensively in the growth of cells in culture for research and in the production vaccines and bio-therapeutic molecules.

CARDIFF, WALES, UK – TrakCel, a provider of supply chain technology to aid in the processing of regenerative therapies, has successfully completed a fully subscribed rights issue and secured additional investment for further product development.  The investment follows the recently announced collaboration between TrakCel and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and will allow the company to further enhance its technology platform and progress plans to develop within its market sector.

The list, compiled on behalf of the publication, includes companies involved in stem cell research, regenerative medicine, cell therapy and gene therapy field who are relatively new with a very unique approach/ new platform.

Mediwales has selected TrakCel as the Start-up of the year 2013 in Wales. At the recent MediWales Innovation Awards, celebrating the achievements of life science companies and individuals from the NHS in Wales, TrakCel received it's award from Dr. Stephen Minger of GE Healtcare.

TrakCel announced that their industry paper titled "The effects of integrated biometrics and automated orchestration on the failure modes associated with autologous therapy manufacture" has been formally accepted by the European Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ESGCT). The ESGCT is committed to supporting scientists and clinicians involved in research on gene transfer and clinical applications of gene and cell therapy.

TrakCel announces collaborative partnership with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)
GSK has recognised that TrakCel's orchestration platform is potentially vital to the safe and effective scale-up of cell-based therapies. As a result both companies have entered into a collaboration agreement which will see TrakCel being deployed in live patient trials early in 2014.
